Name: Kristian Escuela Candidate Number: 0603 Centre Number: US154                                                                                                                                                          Hello! How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware and online - in this project? Technology was based around my whole project as every design was made off my computer and all the pictures taken were off my phone and every resource, website, anything else apart from pictures was thanks to my computer..  My phone is an ...

Critical Creative Reflection 3

Name: Kristian Escuela Candidate Number: 0603 Centre Number: US154 Hello again! How did your production skills develop throughout this project?      My production skills have hugely increased throughout this project, I can just genuinely say that I used my resources way better and I was able to actually be more creative and enjoy what I was doing.      During the beginning, when we did the preliminary task, I wasn't sure what a magazine contained, I thought it was a picture, title  and whatever texts they wanted to have. That is not the case at all for magazines. Magazines are informative, educational and spread awareness and proper things to be known.  I can say that I am still a fan of low angle shots as both, my preliminary and final are low angle shots, but I tried harder for one of them.       In my cover page, low angle shot was used in my preliminary and final. In my preliminary, I added a bunch of te...

Critical Creative Reflection 2

Name: Kristian Escuela Candidate Number: 0603 Centre Number: US154 How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? My product engages with audiences by sharing in the true and realistic approach that these gamers could attain in real life. Virtual Reality is many things that anyone has access to in more ways than one, and the best thing anyone could do is that it is playable anywhere, and easier and better to travel with, you don't need it to connect to the wall, as long as it's charged up and ready to go, it's good. My magazine goes out for anyone who is interested in any game that is accessible whether it is mobile or virtual which is a lot in...

Critical Creative Reflection 1

Name: Kristian Escuela Candidate Number: 0603 Centre Number: US154 Hello! How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? My magazine product is a basic magazine that covers all the basic ideals that a magazine requires. My magazine is involved with a masthead and all the other basic requirements a cover page should require. PC Gamer was the magazine that I gained much inspiration from and I also used personal knowledge on my experience with video games that helped me create the image for my cover magazine. Starting off with my cover page, the conventions are all followed. You can see the masthead as the biggest text in the cover having the title of GameVerse which has a font inspired off the game  “Mortal Kombat”, which is a combat game between 2 characters whose mobility is side to side or up and down  with various combos and moves. The image is my brother, whose name is Kevin and is studying computer science in hi...

Final Magazine Product

Hello!! This blog is just showcasing my final magazine product containing my Cover Page, Table of Contents and Double Page Spread.

Final Double Page Spread

In this blog here is the final double page spread and concludes my final work for the Magazine print that I am required to do.

Final Double Page Spread Draft

In this pair of blogs I will be revealing the final piece left to my final magazine. My Double Page Spread, which is what includes my feature article about virtual reality being the future. HERE IT GOES!  There is a few things that have to be added but this is what it is shaping to look like. After peer reviewing, I need to fix the justification, the background color, the background of any images I put on forward, make sure the article is readable, and size up the paragraphs and columns. Position the images the right way as well. Next blog is the final double page spread.

Final Table of Contents

In the sequel to the previous blog, I will showing my final table of contents page and this is what it is.   As you could see I have added an image in the frame of a phone embracing the mobile issues in this magazine As well as introducing page topics that will be important for the magazine.

Final Table of Contents Draft

In these 2 blogs, I will be presenting what is my draft for my table of contents and what the final prototype is. Hope you enjoy! I have the title and the numbers ready and set but I have yet to put any titles and topics next to the numbers, any headings, and as well as any images as I am required to put a minimum of 4 in my magazine.

Final Cover Page

Hi!, I am presenting my final cover page that I have designed and here it goes. The angle taken of the character in the cover is a low angle shot which is a shot that asserts power and dominance over any obstacle, to emphasize. The character is holding a VR headset and using it. Featuring the title as well for the Feature Article, which is "Is Virtual Reality the Future?" The color of the title matches with the tone of the magazine as it matches with purple tonish background. "GameVerse" presented to you by Kristian Covering an issue about the future connecting with Virtual Reality
