Preliminary Task: Table of Contents Analysis

Jumping right into the analysis of my table of contents, here is the editing and further explanation on it's details.

Starting this elaboration off, the layout of this table of contents was one I wanted to follow with a greyish background matching the character's clothing as well as going well together with the cover page. The cover page was a very similar color due to the fact the images of my friend Daniel working out was at the same place near the same time in the same day.

The struggles I had with the layout were how to put the images and whether if i should leave it full or maybe put it in another shape as you see the difference between the circle and rectangle. Aligning the numbers with the section topic was also a struggle because I wanted it to look appealing and right & as well as for coming up with section topic ideas.

The Images I used were of my friend working out with 2 different angles of the same workout which is called the Lat Pulldown. The Sizes of the title and the text "Fitness Guide"  were like Main title texts so that is why they are the biggest. The headings have the "Alice" Font because I just thought it was most fitting and made sure to underline it so it doesn't look awkward with the background. The same applies to the section topics just that the font is "Canva Sans".

To Sum it all up, This was my Table of Contents and I hope it lived up to the expectations of what a table of content.

Moving onto now the final part of my preliminary task on the next blog..

The double page spread.

Anatomy of Page Design

The double-page spread was my big challenge when working on the preliminary task, I didn't understand the concept and how to lay out the important things that the page consisted of. Today's blog? Understanding the anatomy of a page design. Whether it's for print or digital media, page design entails carefully arranging different elements to produce a layout that is both aesthetically pleasing and useful. Heading is important in the next factors of page design layout. The page number, chapter title, and section heading are examples of important information that is usually included in the header. It provides context and facilitates navigation. Apart from headings, there are subheadings. Subheadings help readers scan the content more easily and find specific information by segmenting it into smaller sections. Typically, they are bolder and smaller than the main headline. Masthead

Me and my partner Abeldar worked together to come up with a masthead that was proper and attractive enough to attract a crowd based on just the masthead. this is the masthead that we came up with based on our survey results and what we thought would be the best for a gaming issue magazine covering different topics and forms of gaming.  Our masthead and magazine title will be called GameVerse with sharp edged fonts that will provide uniqueness to our title and give a sense of video gaming like no other, GameVerse is to talk about multiple gaming issues including Arcade and Virtual Reality/Mobile gaming. Although that this is our final masthead title the color of the word Game will be different to our liking.
