Hello guys! and welcome back to my blog and these upcoming blogs are for now my favorites so far due to the action of this blog. Which has to do with Camera Shots. I'll be explaining what camera shots are and showing few examples of what they are and represent.
Camera shots are usually defined by the frame of the item or person etc.. and as well are defined by the positioning of the camera. There are many varieties of Camera shots and before this I would just say "
yeah it's just angles" but there is more to cameras than just angles. Now here is what I learned.
These camera shots are known as the master shot or an establishment shot. It is a shot that captures the whole setting and as it says, basically establishes the setting of the scene. It is the first shot in most scenes just to get a feeling of what we are starting with. As you can see these are shots of American Senior High School and It establishes a scene of education and what school brings with them.
When I would see these shots in movies I thought it the same way it is being explained to you right now, it is to show you what the location of whatever story is being told in the moment. I had some background knowledge in this but I did learn how to take them.
NOW! it isn't over yet. There are still more camera shots to go over, onto the next blog.
