Reflection of Syllabus

                                                                Continuing my blog...

After reading the syllabus, starting this reflection I immediately look forward to see which type of media I will be using whether it is film, music, video games, print and radio and podcasts. Additionally, I look forward to understanding the importance and relation that Language and Representation have with the studies of media. Third aspect I look forward to is how I will be able to manage the actions of the technical elements, from camera shots to editing. Although I do look forward to the technical elements, I am very nervous about the section about "Mise-en-scene" which includes the production design and lighting. The next thing I am nervous about is the "Print" section in the "Media areas" and that is the media we will be doing so to me it is very nerve-racking since I quite don't understand it. Last aspect that makes me nervous is the test that we have to take for this course.

I want to be able to gain full understanding of the process of making any type of Media, although we will be doing print, I want to understand how I could even try to begin to work on other ones for projects I'd like to create for myself in my personal life. I want to gain the credit for this course most importantly as well. I'd love to gain experience and grow interest in the would of media through this course.

Peek-a-boo

The image of this young girl perfectly captures how I feel about this course. In case you couldn't tell from the the image, I'm a bit nervous. I don't know how well it will go because this is completely new to me; it's a course I don't know about and a type of media I've never done before, but I'm eager to learn more and I look forward for what's to come. See you on the next blog!

Final Magazine Product

Hello!! This blog is just showcasing my final magazine product containing my Cover Page, Table of Contents and Double Page Spread.

Anatomy of Page Design

The double-page spread was my big challenge when working on the preliminary task, I didn't understand the concept and how to lay out the important things that the page consisted of. Today's blog? Understanding the anatomy of a page design. Whether it's for print or digital media, page design entails carefully arranging different elements to produce a layout that is both aesthetically pleasing and useful. Heading is important in the next factors of page design layout. The page number, chapter title, and section heading are examples of important information that is usually included in the header. It provides context and facilitates navigation. Apart from headings, there are subheadings. Subheadings help readers scan the content more easily and find specific information by segmenting it into smaller sections. Typically, they are bolder and smaller than the main headline. As the examp...

Masthead

Me and my partner Abeldar worked together to come up with a masthead that was proper and attractive enough to attract a crowd based on just the masthead. this is the masthead that we came up with based on our survey results and what we thought would be the best for a gaming issue magazine covering different topics and forms of gaming.  Our masthead and magazine title will be called GameVerse with sharp edged fonts that will provide uniqueness to our title and give a sense of video gaming like no other, GameVerse is to talk about multiple gaming issues including Arcade and Virtual Reality/Mobile gaming. Although that this is our final masthead title the color of the word Game will be different to our liking.
